Planning Approval for a Timeless New Dwelling in North Devon!
We are pleased to announce that WSCA have been successful in achieving planning consent on the outskirts of Barnstaple, for the erection of a thoughtfully designed new dwelling that combines traditional character with contemporary detailing to create a timeless family home.
The proposal comprises of a single detached four-bedroom dwelling, with associated parking and driveway, and a detached garage. A meticulous approach was taken when designing this proposal to ensure it offers a carefully designed, high-quality home with a more traditional appearance, which will compliment the local area and match the materiality of the surrounding buildings.
The proposal also includes a further separate detached garage to serve the existing dwelling, in order to provide safer and more practical parking, as well as additional flexibility and functionality for the occupants.

WSCA adopted a design approach to this proposal that combines contemporary detailing with traditional materials, reflecting the architectural character of the local area while delivering a thoughtfully designed modern home.
External materials used in the design include natural stone elements, rendered wall finishes, natural slate roofing and brick quoins. These materials reflect the traditional character of rural buildings within the surrounding area, and consequently ensure the dwelling seamlessly integrates within it's surroundings.
